Story of Gratitude and Dedication
Early on, after starting work on the Scripture Song Bible Studies, I was impressed to do a song on the Sanctuary. That idea persisted, but I did nothing about it for a quite a while, due to feeling a bit overwhelmed at the thought of trying to write a song with such all-encompassing truths. Needless to say, it became cl
ear that there was no way to do this with a single song. But the idea continued to sit in the back of my mind. On the Fourth of July in 2016, a freak accident broke several bones in my right foot, happily resulting in an unexpected vacation from work. This gave me lots of free time during which I immersed myself in Bible study and scripture memorization. It was while studying Revelation with some of Ivor Myer’s online classes, that I discovered the Blueprint. (Powerofthelamb.com)
This was so exciting and seemed to be the direction to take the project. So, finally, with a broken foot but hands that worked, I began writing the songs that summer. (Luckily, one can still play the piano and record songs even with a broken foot!) God helped me the whole way through. Over a period of more than two years, the “one song on the Sanctuary” idea grew into a collection of 22 songs, with 15 narrations.
MUCH prayer went into this project. It literally could not have done without the prayers and encouragement from some amazing people God put into my life: Cathy, Noura, Brad, Tami, Pastor Robert & Ivy, Susie, Shelley, my niece Ashley, my mother Milli, my husband Rob, and others. They believed. They prayed me through this, never doubting for a moment. Pastor Clark, Brad, and Cathy also were my consultants and narration editors, for which I am so grateful.
This album is dedicated to all of them, as well as to Dale and Karen Price, who have always been very supportive of the music and have made me feel that it was worthwhile to continue proceeding with it, even when sometimes it felt like no one was listening.
Thank you all from the bottom of my soul? And thank you God for starting and finishing this little idea you put on my heart.
Margo
Who God Sent to Help Me
Heartfelt thanks to the incredible people God put in my life. This was definitely a team effort. Dale Price, my co-producer and recording engineer, is one in a million. He is passionate about what he does and bends over backwards for all the musicians he works with. Dale is a world-class engineer in a small town, with skills rivaling any you would find in the big city. I don’t know why he’s still here but I do know we are incredibly blessed to have him. Then there’s Evan Goodson, another wonderfully talented musician who can expertly improvise on just about any instrument. Despite being a full time student taking extremely advanced classes at CSU, he somehow makes the time to contribute his intuitive improvisations.
We talked about Karate for a while, and then he stated, “Your Martial Art doesn’t work.” He twisted two of http://icks.org/n/bbs/content.php?co_id=FALL_WINTER_2018 india cialis the gnarliest fists I had ever seen into my shirt and told me to work with an online drugstore. Brad Smith and John Mescall are two other very gifted musicians, who graciously lend their skills and creativity to the songs. They, along with Dale and Evan, add their improvisations to my vocal/piano compositions. Then Dale pulls it all together in his studio. My simple songs are the seeds that these musicians transform into a beautiful garden. God knew I’d need every single one of them.
Last but not least is Jonathan Dugo who shared his dreamy voice on this album. Thank you Jonathan for using your beautiful gift for Jesus. And the kids from Adventist Christian Elementary School were simply the best…together with their teacher Deborah Judson and teacher’s aid Ashley Novotny. They sang out with gusto and enthusiasm.
All of these people are a joy to work with.
